Sep 22 As we prepare to bid a fond farewell to another glorious season on the magical island of Ibiza, we can barely believe that Summer 2016 is already drawing to an end. After many vibrant and bustling months in the REMAX office, we have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the season, and are happy to have helped so many of our clients to make their Ibiza real estate dreams come true. However, the temperatures may have dropped, but the Ibiza weather still blesses us with plenty of heart warming sunshine, and.. we still have a few more weeks of partying, in Ibiza´s own inimitable style, with the much lauded closing party season in full swing. Here we offer you a selection of our favourite closing fiestas for your to enjoy under the warm autumnal nights.
Friday 23rd September - Defected presents Glitterbox Closing at Space
Glitterbox attracts, as the name suggests, a glittering, glamorous crowd of all ages, who come to enjoy the classic house tunes provided by the DJ´s many of whom belong to the Defected record label. This year has seen Glitterbox enjoy bigger success than ever before, consistently drawing the crowds week after week. The grand finale will take place at Space, the most iconic of Ibiza nightclubs, on Friday 23rd September, with celebrated music makers such as Todd Terry and Joey Negro providing the soundtrack to your evening.
Saturday 24th September - ANTS Closing Party at Ushuaia
The weekly ANTS parties at Ushuaia have become something of a cult hit in recent years, with a hip, cool collective heading down to the shore of Playa ´den Bossa to shake their stuff in the afternoon sunshine to some serious techno and electro music. Groundbreaking DJ´s, the funky setting of the sprawling Ushuaia complex and the open air arena makes this a hard act to beat. Andrea Oliva and Joris Voorn will headline the party, alongside Maya Jane Coles and Nic Fanciulli who will be keeping the beats flowing throughout the event..
Monday 26 September - Flower Power at Pacha
If you are looking for a closing party which welcomes one and all, and will delight revellers of all ages and cultures, then look no further than the iconic Flower Power final fiesta at arguably Ibiza’s most famous superclub, Pacha. Don your funkiest flares, fluff your afro, and dig out your most outrageously colourful outfits for this fun, frivolous and funky celebration of the music we all adore from the 60´s and 70´s, with a modern day twist. DJ Pitti, one of the founders of this legendary Ibiza club has run this party for decades, and he will, as always, be at the helm, making sure the music keeps everyone dancing all night long, with local Pacha residents Willie Graff and Graham Sahara keeping things funky upstairs on the terrace..
Wednesday 28 September Paradise Closing at DC10
In the past DC10 has earned it clubbing stripes as the most underground Ibiza venue, showcasing upcoming and groundbreaking DJ´s and gaining a reputation for being the place to see and be seen if you´re a serious mover and shaker on the club scene. For years, it was dominated by the Monday Circoloco parties, but in the last three years, the newcomers Paradise and their collection of cutting edge talent and stellar lineup of DJ´s have been shining brightly and have effortlessly created a new ´must do´night on any die hard clubbers agenda. They will be going out with a bang on Wednesday 28 September, with a frankly hard to beat cast of musical superstars, including DC10 stalwart Jamie Jones, headlining, with the likes of Hot Since ´82, Eats Everything and Richy Ahmed, plus many more big names bringing their fabulous summer to a sizzling climax.
Sunday 2nd October - Space Closing – The Ultimate Closing Party
And so, to conclude, the one party EVERYONE is talking about is of course the final Space Closing Party. After 25 years of this most iconic of Ibiza´s clubs, which has been managed with love and passion by Ibiza legend Pepe Rosello for two and a half decades, the time has come for the lease to be handed back to the landowners, and the future of this club which has been a monumental influence on many Ibiza visitors for years is undecided. What we can be sure of is that the closing party this October is going to be one of the most highly attended, significant and legendary parties the island will ever have seen.. Carl Cox, who many people view as the definitive DJ of this much loved Ibiza club will be headlining, along with Tale of Us, Josh Wink and Steve Bug, plus dozens of local and international DJ´s who will surely all be shedding tear as we say goodbye to the place where so many memories have been made. One not to be missed..
