Beaches

Sun worshippers will truly be in heaven on the many shores which make up the stunning coastline of San Jose. Take a drive down the long and windy road which leads to Cala Vadella and be prepared to be left breathless as the sparkling turquoise waters of this heavenly bay come into sight. A favourite spot for families due to its clear, shallow waters, it has plentiful bars and restaurants and is a truly picturesque spot to spend the day.  Some of the Ibiza villas which overlook this bay are truly spectacular, and the views from these properties simply have to be seen to be believed. Partygoers should head to the renowned beach of Cala Jondal, which is home to the world famous Blue Marlin Beach Club, where the beautiful people flock to dance, dine and soak up the inimitable Ibizan ambience. This beach is also home to an excellent seafood restaurant Yemanja, which is open 365 days of the year, making it a popular choice for those who choose to make Ibiza their permanent home. Properties here are always in high demand due to the excellent central location, and the surrounding cliffside hides some of the most divine and luxurious villas in Ibiza.

Wine and dine

The actual village of San Jose is home to some much loved and fantastic quality restaurants, some of which are tucked away in little side streets but we have discovered the very best, here are a few of our favourites.. Raco Verde is quite simple a San Jose institution, with pretty gardens, it´s ideal for those with children and has a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Fresh, healthy juices are guaranteed to put a spring in your step, and our secret tip is to try the sweet potato fries with chipotle mayo.. delicious! Pizza lovers should head to Es Verge, where the traditional pizza oven delivers the very best pizzas in town, and if you are looking for a a more traditional taste of Spain, the Destino, the tapas bar is widely recognised as being one of the most authentic and high quality venue to feast on tempting tapas anywhere  on the island..

The countryside of San Jose is simply spectacular, and if you fancy an adventure whilst searching for your dream Ibiza villa, then head towards the beautiful bay of Cala D´Hort, and marvel at the majestic beauty of the mysterious limestone mountain Es Vedra, which rises almost 400m above sea level, and is said to be the third most magnetic spot on earth. This spectacular landmark attracts thousands of visitors every year who come to marvel at its sheer beauty, size, and learn about its mystical past, it is rumoured that it was once the home of Tanit, goddess of love and fertility, and there´s no denying that it has a very special aura. A hot tip, the seafood restaurant Es Bodaldo which overlooks this natural beauty spot also serves what is arguably the best paella on the island, and is well worth a visit!
